🔒 Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2025

At Get Recovered, your emotional well-being and your privacy are equally important.
Our goal is simple: support your recovery without collecting unnecessary personal information or compromising your trust.

This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how we protect your data as you rebuild resilience.

🧠 1. What We Do (and Don’t) Track

We help you understand your state of recovery, not your personal life.

When you use our assessments, journal, or recovery tools, we only track data required to guide your recovery experience.

We do not:

  • Monitor your browsing or unrelated device activity
  • Sell personal data
  • Use your emotional entries or journal for advertising
  • Access files or information without your explicit consent

We do:

  • Process state assessments to tailor your recovery plan
  • Store journal entries and progress metrics (only if you choose to save them)
  • Keep essential account info for subscription and support

Everything else stays private and secure.

💾 2. Data We Collect

Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:

Free Users:

  • Stress-level assessments (optional)
  • Anonymous usage data (e.g., which tools were used)
  • Technical info such as device type and app version
  • Optional email if you create an account or sync progress

Premium Users:

  • Saved journal entries and recovery logs
  • Personalized plan data and usage history
  • Account details (name, email, subscription ID)
  • Payment references via a secure third-party processor

We collect only the information needed to deliver personalized recovery support.

🧰 3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to:

  • Generate personalized recovery plans
  • Recommend appropriate practices and exercises
  • Track your recovery phases and progress
  • Improve app performance and reliability
  • Handle subscriptions and support requests

We may analyze anonymized, aggregated metrics to better understand recovery patterns — never tied to specific individuals.

🕵️‍♂️ 4. What We Don’t Do

We don’t run ads.
We don’t sell or rent your personal information.
We don’t share your recovery data with third parties.
We NEVER use emotional or mental-health information for profiling.

Your recovery is yours — not a commodity.

🌍 5. Cookies & Analytics

On the web version, we use minimal cookies only for:

  • Secure login sessions
  • Saving user preferences (theme, language, settings)
  • Basic, anonymized usage analytics hosted internally

We do not use third-party trackers or behavior-based advertising cookies.

📤 6. Data Retention & Deletion

You remain in full control of your emotional data.

  • Free user session data (like short-term assessments) is deleted automatically unless saved.
  • Premium user data is deleted within 7 days of account cancellation.
  • System backups containing anonymized fragments are purged within 30 days.

You may request full deletion at any time.

💳 7. Payments

Payments are processed securely through trusted providers such as Stripe or Paddle.
Get Recovered does not store card details — only non-sensitive transaction references.

All payment data is encrypted and compliant with PCI standards.

🛡️ 8. Security

We apply industry-standard security practices including:

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS)
  • Encrypted storage for sensitive data
  • Strict access controls limited to essential operational personnel

We also encourage strong passwords and the use of 2FA where supported.
